We won't make this story longer than necessary: this chocolate and cinnamon banana bread is one you really have to try yourself. So delicious and of course: protein-rich.

The great thing about this snack recipe is that you don't need many ingredients to make the batter for this tasty banana bread. Plus, you don't have to spend much time in the kitchen, as the oven does most of the work.

Excited already? Let's get started quickly!

Ingredients

  • 50 grams of almond flour
  • 75 grams of oat flour
  • 50 grams of walnuts
  • 40 grams of dark chocolate (85% or higher)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 2 scoops of Orangefit Protein vanilla, banana or chocolate
  • 100 ml of unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Add 3 tablespoons of water to the chia seeds and let it sit for a while.

  3. Chop the walnuts into small pieces and mash the bananas with a fork.

  4. Combine all the dry ingredients (except the chocolate) and mix. Then, add the rest of the ingredients.

  5. Use a fork to thoroughly mix all the ingredients.

  6. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and then fold 80% of the chocolate into the batter.

  7. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and pour the banana bread batter into it.

  8. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate on top of the bread.

  9. Place the loaf pan in the oven for 50 minutes. Tip: check after 45 minutes with a toothpick if the banana bread is cooked. If a lot of dough sticks to the toothpick, it might need a bit more time in the oven. Check every 5 minutes.

  10. Let the banana bread cool well.

Tip: also delicious with a layer of nut butter.

Enjoy!
