Ingredients for 8 bars

  • 70 grams of rolled oats
  • 50 grams of oat flour
  • 30 grams of mixed nuts (chopped)
  • 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 2 tablespoons of agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 1/2 scoops of Orangefit Protein (vanilla, strawberry, or banana)

Ingredients for the strawberry jam:

  • 200 grams of frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (or agave syrup)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).

2. In a saucepan over low heat, add the frozen strawberries with the syrup. Let them thaw gently for 15 minutes while stirring regularly. When the strawberries are soft, mash them gently with a utensil.

3. Turn off the heat and add the chia seeds. Let it sit for another 5 minutes to allow the strawberry jam to thicken.

4. Line a shallow baking pan with parchment paper.

5. In a bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together. You can do this by hand or with a food processor.

6. Spread about 2/3 of the mixture evenly across the width of the baking pan, making sure the bars are approximately 1 to 1.5 cm thick.

7. Spread a layer of the homemade strawberry jam over this with a spatula.

8. Then crumble the rest of the mixture over the top.

9. Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the oatmeal is beautifully golden brown. Check regularly to make sure both the oatmeal and the jam don't burn.

10. Allow it to cool before cutting it into 8 oatmeal bars.

11. Store the bars in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
